This drum handler’s impressive 650 lb. capacity when the legs are retracted and 1,100 lb. capacity when the legs are extended will help you efficiently lift, transport, and place heavy drums on spill or standard pallets. Its steel construction provides added durability and support during transport. The two 5″ x 2″ phenolic wheels and two 5″ x 2″ swivel phenolic casters ensure smooth handling while the floor lock ensures safety when loading or unloading drums. This handler is raised and lowered by a convenient and intuitive controller with the press of a button. Its lift is battery operated so it can be powered without the use of a cord and without the fumes that come with gas-powered equipment, making it great for indoor use. Plus, the power lift capability gives it a lifting rate of 8 1/2″ per second without a load.
For added convenience, the operator does not need to touch the drum to secure a tight grip on it. This handler’s patented, spring-loaded Gator Grip® automatically locks the jaws closed around the head of the drum and then unlocks the jaws when you place the drum down. With its unique Gator Grip® technology, this handler maintains a locked hold on the drum when driving over rough terrain, unlike other drum-handling devices that require drum weight to ensure a positive lock. This drum handler accommodates one 30, 55, or 85 gallon steel, poly, or fiber drum with a 3/16″ or higher chime and works with most drums with locking rings.
