Turn to this Zoeller 98-0001 M98 automatic effluent pump for a submersible pump used for septic tanks, low pressure pipes, and enhanced flow STEP systems. This effluent pump prevents flooding after heavy rainfall or storms. It features a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated epoxy finish over cast iron construction to provide strength and durability. Plus, it has stainless steel screws assembling the seal, arm, handle, and guard to stave off rust. It can pass spherical solids up to 1/2″ in diameter, and the lack of a screen helps keep the unit running smoothly.
This submersible effluent pump features a permanent split capacity motor that’s oil filled and hermetically sealed with automatic reset thermal overload protection. It’s an automatic model and includes a float-operated 2-pole mechanical switch. It also features upper and lower bearings with oil-fed cast iron as well as a carbon and ceramic shaft seal. Powered by a 1/2 hp motor, this effluent pump has a max flow rate of 72 GPM and a watertight, neoprene square ring between the motor and pump housing. It requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.
