This Zoeller 30-0040 Quiet Check 1 1/2″ valve offers a perfect solution for quiet water flow in your discharge pipe after a pump stops. It also features reduced water hammer for a quieter operation. It’s constructed out of white PVC plastic with solvent-welded ends with unions for easy installation horizontally or vertically without requiring threading, and it offers a full-flow, non-clog design. Providing a reliable backflow prevention, this valve can also help protect your pump.
This valve boasts the same features provided in a standard check valve but with the addition of a hinged spring-loaded flapper. It has a 1 1/2″ pipe size. With its mechanism, the flapper closes fully against the fluid flow as the pump shuts down. This provides a rapid closure against the pressure before any flow reversal can occur, eliminating any noise from the hydraulic shock, and it’s pressure rated for 50 PSI.
